Abstract The purpose of this work is to design an energy scavenging system. system scavenges ambient from indoor Wi-Fi routers. It makes use low cost, environment-friendly and widely available corrugated cardboard substrate. circuit realized on metallic layers made low-cost copper tape. A Villard rectifier used convert the RF into dc. measured scavenged power at density 10 μ W cm −2 −15.76 dBm (26.5 W). conversion efficiency 58.6%. presented has lowest cost among other similar works.
